What is HUMANITY Magazine?

The history of the magazine begins in 2020 (although the idea originated in 2019), then it was born in the form of an electronic newspaper DEMO GOG, with the prospect of further printing on paper. Initially, this newspaper was planned as a student media, but during the evolutionary process, after 20 issues, it changed its subject and audience, and in the fall of 2020, the newspaper acquired the appearance of a magazine with a branded cover, which has reached today almost unchanged. The key moment was the merger with the Life Line magazine, which had previously been published by the charity foundation Every Child's Life Line (ECLF). Since then, the main topics of the magazine have become not only creativity and literature, but also charity. The main changes were the change of the subject to literary and creative and the removal of age (everyone, not just students) and territorial (not only Russia, but all countries of the world) restrictions for the participants of the magazine.

Today, Humanity magazine is a unique English-language media that is distributed worldwide and is available in any country when purchased from the online store of the Ukiyoto publishing house. Each issue of the magazine takes place with the participation of the Russian, Vietnamese and Serbian Writers' Unions. Also, each issue of the magazine is accompanied by articles from the Life Line Foundation (ECLF) and the Poetry Clinic rubric. The standard volume is 80 pages. The magazine presents all continents in the form of separate headings and thus each issue of the magazine covers the whole world!

The magazine constantly continues to develop, works on connecting and publishing new authors, establishes communication and friendly relations between poets from all over the world and strives to increase circulation.

Magazine Humanity is the successor of the DEMO GOG newspaper, which was created as a youth and student project aimed at creating a new, convenient, modern information and entertainment platform, both in paper and electronic form, where everyone, regardless of age, can post their articles, creative works, projects, current news, and much more. The newspaper was published on paper and include selected works (if desired) that have been or will be placed in DEMO GOG groups. This group also contains current news and information on newspaper releases in hard copy. We draw your attention to the fact that this is YOUR newspaper and its possibilities are limited only by your imagination. In turn, we are ready to accept all your suggestions related to the format, content and design of our newspaper and help you implement them. Everyone is welcome!

Hyperpoem Project

Background

The idea of the HYPERPOEM project originated in the summer of 2020. Then, as part of the work of the DEMO GOG group, it was planned to create a large Internet poem with the
participation of several dozen authors. However, at that time the project did not receive proper
coverage and attention from poets and their readers, so it was suspended for a while. Everything
changed in the fall of 2021. When the number of band members approached 10,000, people began to ask about the project and express a desire to take part in it. In light of those events, the project was revived and restarted!

Project idea

The idea of the project is very simple – to connect as many authors as possible within the framework of a given topic: "International cooperation and friendship" to set a world record in the Guinness Book in the direction of: The largest poem in the history of mankind by the number of participating authors (accompanying: by the number of languages in one work). To participate, each author needs to: write a quatrain within a given topic (in their native language or English) and fill out a participant questionnaire. The questionnaire is designed to protect copyright and at the same time is proof that the participant is a real author.

Progress

Now more than 1600 authors have taken part in HYPERPOEM (for a record, you need to connect at least 1500). What deserves special attention are authors from more than 50 countries and most of them offered quatrains in their native language!

Plans

Now the main task is to collect 1,500 quatrains by the authors, with the subsequent obtaining of a world record, but HYPERPOEM will not stop there. There are already plans to work in the second half of 2022 and continue to connect the authors after the recognition of the record. In addition, after obtaining a world record, HYPERPOEM is planned to be presented as a monument of world literature in Unesco.

Conclusion

Although the current situation in the world remains tense, both against the background of political differences between large and developed countries and regional conflicts, projects such as HYPERPOEM allow authors from different countries to get to know each other, exchange creativity and establish universal friendship on planet Earth. And even though it may seem insignificant now, great things begin with small things. We are for world peace!
